The Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) has released a notification for 74 vacancies for Junior Stenographer & Junior Grade Typist posts. Eligible candidates from Odisha can apply online through the official website https://www.ossc.gov.in

Important Dates:

• Start Date for Online Application – 4th April 2025
• Last Date for Online Registration – 3rd May 2025
• Last Date for Application Submission – 6th May 2025
• Editing of Application Form – 4th April to 8th May 2025

Vacancy Details:

1. Junior Stenographer (EIC, Water Resources, Bhubaneswar) – 24 posts
2. Junior Stenographer (Advocate General, Odisha, Cuttack) – 40 posts
3. Junior Stenographer (Directorate of Treasuries & Inspection) – 03 posts
4. Junior Grade Typist (Director of Prisons & Correctional Services) – 05 posts
5. Typist-cum-Scribe Assistant (Law Department, Odisha) – 02 posts

Eligibility Criteria:

• Junior Stenographer (EIC, Water Resources, Bhubaneswar) – HSC + ITI (Stenography) + Basic Computer Skills
• Junior Stenographer (Advocate General, Odisha, Cuttack) – Graduation + 80 WPM shorthand (English & Odia) + Computer Knowledge
• Junior Stenographer (Directorate of Treasuries & Inspection) – 10+2 (Any Stream) + 80 WPM shorthand (English & Odia) + Computer Knowledge
• Junior Grade Typist – HSC + Basic Computer Skills
• Typist-cum-Scribe Assistant – 10+2 (Any Stream) + 80 WPM shorthand (English & Odia) + Computer Knowledge

Age Limit (as of 1st January 2025):

• Junior Stenographer (EIC, Water Resources, Bhubaneswar) – 21 to 32 years
• Junior Stenographer (Advocate General, Odisha, Cuttack) – 21 to 32 years
• Junior Stenographer (Directorate of Treasuries & Inspection) – 18 to 32 years
• Junior Grade Typist – 18 to 32 years
• Typist-cum-Scribe Assistant – 21 to 32 years
• Age Relaxation – As per government rules (OBC – 3 years, SC/ST/PWD – 5 years, etc.)

Selection Process:

1. Preliminary Examination
2. Main Written Examination
3. Computer Skill Test
4. Document Verification

Application Fees:

• General/OBC/EWS – Free
• SC/ST/Women – Free

Salary Details:

• Junior Stenographer – ₹25,500 – ₹81,100 per month
• Junior Grade Typist / Typist-cum-Scribe Assistant – ₹19,900 – ₹63,200 per month
